Doha: The General Assembly of the Qatar Fencing Federation (QFF) has re-elected Abdulla Ali Al-Ghanim as President of the Federation for the term 2024-2028.

During the meeting, which was held today at the Qatar Olympic Committee headquarters, Khalid Issa Al-Hamadi, Fahad Abdullah Al Mulla, Zamal Khelaiwi Al Shammari and Khawla Khalid Jamal were elected as members of the Federation’s Board of Directors.

The Assembly agenda included the approval of the previous meeting’s minutes and the endorsement of the federation’s budget.

Additionally, the meeting highlighted ongoing preparations for the upcoming International and the 2030 Asian Games in Doha.

On this occasion, Abdulla Ali Al-Ghanim hailed the support of His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee, and His Excellency Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain, Secretary-General of the QOC, to the Qatar Fencing Federation.

” I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the members of the General Assembly of the Qatar Fencing Federation for entrusting me with the leadership of the federation for another term. This renewed confidence inspires us all to work diligently toward our shared vision of advancing fencing in Qatar.” He said.

“We are committed to strengthening the infrastructure for fencing in Qatar and implementing comprehensive training programs to support our athletes and coaches. This will ensure we are well-prepared for the upcoming milestones, particularly the qualifiers for the 2028 Olympic Games and the 2030 Olympic Games.” He added.
