Qatar claims 4 Medals in West Asian Championships – Jordan
The Qatari national team claims 4 colored medals in the West Asian Fencing Championship for the under-20 age groups, which is currently hosted by the Jordanian Federation for the game and will conclude tomorrow, Wednesday, with the participation of 150 players representing 11 countries: Qatar, Palestine, Sultanate of Oman, Kuwait, Syria, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and the UAE Iraq, Lebanon and Jordan.
Qatar participated in the tournament with 11 players (5 girls and 6 boys), and they are: Jaber Al-Fadaq, Muhammad Al-Olan, Muhammad Al-Hazza, Mishaal Al-Qahtani, Khaled Aref, Abdullah Khalifa, Sheikha Al-Abdullah, Haya Diab, Lina Al-Buainain, Dana Al-Buainain, Sarah Diab, and heads the mission. Fahad Al Mulla, Assistant Secretary of the Qatar Fencing Federation and the West Asian Federation.
Yesterday, the Qatari team won 3 colored medals (gold, silver and bronze) in the competitions for the male and female under 17 years categories.
Amman-Qatar’s Jaber Al Fadaaq claimed the gold medal of boys’ epee event at the West Asian U-20 Fencing Championship on Monday.
In the final match, Al Fadaaq defeated Hassan Al Abed of Saudi Arabia.
In the women’s competitions, the national team player Haya Diab won the silver medal in the Epee weapon, while Lina Al-Buainain won the bronze medal in the fluorescent competition.
Sheikha Al-Abdullah, won the bronze medal in the Epee Weapons competitions for the U-15 category.
Fahd Al Mulla, Assistant General Secretary of the Qatar Fencing Federations, expressed his happiness with the achievements of the Qatari team in the West Asian Fencing Championship for the under-20 age groups, by winning 4 colored medals (gold, silver, and two bronze).
