Qatari Fencing Star Eyes Victory in Arab Games
DOHA, 15 December 2011 – A well-known name in the world of fencing, Ahmad El Siddig, is one of the 113 Arab athletes who are participating in the Fencing competition which is part of Arab Games Doha 2011. Achieving new heights of success in local, regional, and international sporting events, his long track record in sports is studded with distinguished achievements, as he aspires to realise his goals for Qatar in Arab Games Doha 2011. El Siddig, 23, joined the Qatar Fencing Federation (QFF) eight years ago after several years of straddling between soccer and swimming. A total of 19 fencers, including El Siddig are representing Qatar in Arab Games Doha 2011. “I can’t imagine myself playing any sport other than fencing now,” said El Siddig. He usually spends two hours training every day with his coach at QFF, managing to fit in extra training if possible during holidays or as instructed by the coach.
