Fencers Flourish in ABU DHABI
DOHA, 26 October 2011 – Qatari fencers have flourished with eight medals at the ongoing Cadet and Juniors Fencing Championships taking place in Abu Dhabi, UAE from October 24-27. Abdulla Barzegar struck silver in sabre individuals for juniors on the opening day of the championships. Later on the following day, boys foil cadet team won bronze, cadet girls epee team won bronze, Ahmed Fathi Al Dosari grabbed bronze in epee juniors individuals. On Wednesday, girls junior epee team took bronze, boys foil and sabre teams won bronze respectively and Khalid Meshaab won cadet and juniors foil bronze medals respectively.
In all, the Qatari fencers have gathered nine medals, including one silver and eight bronze medals.
